Greenwashing

Here’s a video for the title track of my album World to Rights. I made it using a green screen and some lighting equipment I’d bought second hand. The backgroud videos are from various creators who offer them for free online, and who I’ve credited underneath the video on YouTube.

I put myself in black and white against a coloured background. This wasn’t so much an artistic decision as a practical one due to me not being able to totally remove a green tinge in my face and hair. But it worked out well I think anyway.

I’m now going to order a slightly better green screen. If you ever want to make home videos like this using a green screen, don’t buy the really cheap folded up cloth ones as any lines and different shades of green just make the green that bit harder to remove effectively.

Also, don’t wear a green t-shirt or else you’ll have to start again. Sigh.
